  • Mysterious Studillac Surfaces...

I got an email a few days ago from a guy up in Pennsylvania. He said, "Hello, I found your site on Studillacs, and a friend of mine has a Studillac of some sort."
    And so the excitement begins!

This is one UNUSUAL car! The guy bought it in 1966 or so, and has had it since. He said he's going to get it out and take it to a shop and get it running again. He bought it with all of the kustom work already done.

Well, I'll let the pics do the talking...

    Here's a 'teaser'. Note that it has a 6V and a 12V generator.

    The rest are here.

And my site on Studillacs, for those that haven't seen it.

And before JDP corrects the "Studillac" terminology; it is quite evident that this is NOT a Bill Frick car, but a Caddy-Powered-Studebaker.

A Hawk hood and center grille, with filled-in side grilles? Man, that is so wrong.

    Interior looks good, though.

With that '53 dash it is possible it started out as a 1953!

I'm gonna see if I can't get the numbers off this car. My guess is a '53 as well.

Yep, it's a K body, Joe. Look at the door vent window.

Better tell him to get a hold down before that battery tumbles over and spills acid everywhere! [:0] And I thought this topic was about a new type of paint. [B)]
