        Even for safety reasons, I would have a hard time modifying a true 8K mile car.

                  What other safety items would you need on that car, head rests and shoulder belts? It's already got the dual master. And didn't all Avanti's have disc brakes?

                    I was trying to make the point that I would not have modified an 8K car, as has been done with this one.

                      Beautiful avanti, but too bad about the carpeting. Originally black, but now sun-faded and washed out? They really take away from the rest of the interior.

                            While I agree it's most likely the same car, how did you know the one for sale now is serial R-5019? There are so few exterior and interior options to really differentiate the same color Avanti from another one, is the only reason I'd ask.

                              Blechhhh. The wood grain does NOT work with the turquoise. BTW mileage now listed at 82 K
