The "WH" is the German abreviation for "Wehrmacht" used on vehicle license plates.
Today(or last time I was there) the abreviation is "BW" for Bundeswehr.

      BG,
I have never seen weasels or 6x6's here, but then again I have never looked. They are probably here.

I think most Stude 6x6's went to the Pacific circuit and to Russia.

You may find more Weasels in Holland

There was a Packard sold recently here in the UK that was attached to Bletchly during the war, so that Enigma was solved.

      If you are near by give us a call on 01926 733 484 or 0774 803 6035

On Sunday there is a huge American car show Rally of the Giant at Knebworth just outside of North London by 40 miles or so.

We will have 3 Studebakers in attendance amoungst the others that will lob for the day. The Shielas will be in my Lark, a work colleauge will take my 61 Hawk and I will drive my 39 Commander sedan just to prop the numbers up with.

Weather here has been shocking so bring a brolly. It has rained almost every day since Easter and we are sick of the grey at the moment.

      Safe travels

      Greg

Is there rail service out there? I will "googleearth" it. Depending on weither/weather we might "pop" out. Weither we are too tired, or weather it is raining.

Might be fun, I know it will be fun, who am I kidding. I just printed out your numbers and as we see where things are............

Be in in touch and thanks

Yes,Billy. There are frequent train services from St Pancrass station
The trip takes less than half hour . Trains do not stop at Knebworth on Sundays, Stevenage is the next stop and a big place. It is about 4 miles, or 6 Km from Knebworth Park and taxis are available.

For reference , see my article on october 2006 TW

                Thanks

We are thinking of return trip. Air Fares have fallen due to fare war between BA and VA, but I don't think Ellen can get off. Greg, if we do showup this year we will take you up on the car show.

Greg - do you remember our daughter, Erin? She will be in London on Sunday, but just to catch another plane. She just got engaged under the Eiffel Tower this past Saturday! She's ALWAYS wanted to go to Europe, and it's a cinch she'll never forget this trip.

I can't tell the collar insignia, That would tell the type/division he commands, the shoulders would signify rank, Deffinitly a officer, no brainer

Looking at the hat, I'm going to say a field officer/commander (similar to a LT colnel) possibly a panzer division

Can anyone make out these, super imposed without too much distortion?

The Tampa Bay Automobile Museum has Tatra (mentioned previously) and Tracta autos on display on their website. I was not aware of the Tracta until I visited the museum. Alain Cerf owns it and the adjacent factory. The website is nicely done and the museum displays a variety of very interesting cars.
