The Bagdad Theater is still there and Hawthorne Blvd. does not look all that different today. The Studebaker on the right could very well be the 1950 Regal Deluxe Commander that I owned up until about a year and a half ago (see my photo avatar at the left). Great photo.

It sure looks like it has the halo band which would mean it is dad's Golden Hawk.

Just took another look and it could just be the chrome trim. But the more telling thing is the rear quarter window. Definitely NOT a hard top. So it must be your Commander Ed.

This is the Empress Hotel in Victoria, British Columbia. It is 108 years old this year and has welcomed royalty, movie stars and numerous politicians over the years. A visit to Victoria is not complete without taking High Tea at the Empress. It is National Historic Site.
