Post #7100 above...I really hope the hood latch had been popped when this pic was taken. Otherwise, the fit & finish on this great looking Packard certainly does not meet the standards Packard was known for.
Before I became a tooling and equipment supplier for automotive companies, I gave very little attention to such details. Now, even after being retired for years, how well panels fit, and evenly placed trim, is a great indication of how much attention to detail is given to important components you can't see.John Clary

7097 the first picture makes me want to cry. Seeing the two screws at the bottom of the halo hurts and the placement of the halo makes me wonder if that was a Speedster at one time. Taking a second look at the dash the car was a Speedster.
Trying to place myself in a time machine frame of mind it was probably just considered an old car, especially after Studebaker stopped production, but it still hurts because it was a Speedster.
