      Stylish cars on a relatively plain jane transport, with good old USA industry in the background.

        • It appears they are on their way to, or returning from some sort of local display, like at Notre Dame, with the windows being open, and on the one car, wheel covers installed and the antenna raised to full-mast.

          I cannot see them being transported across the country like that!! And if sales were healthy in 1953, those 'stacks would be belching tons of smoke!

            I believe if the optional wire wheel covers were ordered, they were installed (bolted on) at the factory....whether the center caps would also be installed or packed away in the trunk I don't know.

                    • #4853 and 54, have Calif. 1951-57 plates on them. With the 3M starting numbers on the Caddy looks like around 54.
