    You bet, Craig; how disrespectful!

That is an interesting photo. Note there is a second "bathtub" Packard right next to the one Craig cites.

Also, note a couple prices on the windshields in the center row. The first one appears to be $29, and maybe $59 on the Olds behind it.

They must be sponsored by competing dealers. The folded-back paper on the roof of the first car probably spelled BUICK before the rear section flipped back over itself. I don't think the car is a Buick, however; check out the pull-type door handles. I don't remember any Buicks of that vintage having that type of door handle.

Other comments? (Great photo, Joe; keep it up!) BP

Definitely a picture made in the last few years with girls pretending to be pin ups from back in the day. The tattoos are a dead give away. Very few women would have be marked up like that until a few years ago.

      • Not a very clear picture but it was taken in 1958 , my grandfather and I and his '52 Champion which ended up being my 1st car ( wish I could start over with it )

I think it may have spelled "QUICK" as in quick approval for monthly payments.

          • #2592: Pull type door handles: 1947/55 Kaiser & 1947/51 Frazer. 1947/50 Kaiser and Frazers had a split windshield.

From the looks of the roof drip rail moulding, this is a 1951/55 Kaiser.

For me it is the tattoo on the girl's leg, never saw that in the 1950s.

Entirely possible, Craig; a good observation. BP

Bill, a 1951-1955 Kaiser would have had the "Darrin Dip" in the top center of the windshield, no? The car closest to the camera in 2592 clearly does not.

Base model 1953 Plymouth; whatever that was. Plaza(?), Cranbrook(?)

Cheapest in 1953 was the Cambridge, Craig....but I don't think it is a 1953/1954 Plymouth: I just looked at some pictures of those, and the rear fender peaks seem more pronounced than in our subject car.

Good guess, though; I agree it's close. BP

I don't see any discernible 'kick-up' on the last 8 inches on top of the rear fender.

                            Craig.

                              I am thinking it is a low-line (cheap) 1953 or 1954 Dodge.

                              • I don't think we're there yet, guys; even a 1953 Dodge has a kick-up similar to the Willys cited by Craig. BP
