True, but to be fair, the wide-angle lens used does stretch the dimensions of anything not in the middle of the picture.

I would like to say its the Mobilgas Economy Run, but the painting on the doors of all those STATION WAGONS indicate some other kind of test. Perhaps performance comparisons while loaded to capacity? Craig

'Could be, Craig. Note the jacket wording on the guy with his back to us. It says Motor Trend Research. I doubt that was part of the Mobilgas Economy Run.

Also, if you look closely, the oval-shaped "O" in the period Ford Overdrive script appears to be on the tailgate of the Ford wagon behind the Studebaker. BP

Too bad we cannot see the tailgate on the Plymouth. I wonder if it has 'Hy-Drive'.

September issue 1954 Motor Trend cover......."Testing Your Best Wagon".

This is correct, it's from a 1954 Motor Trend road test of various station wagons. I have this issue. They liked the Studebaker pretty well.
