I think you are correct-although it's been quite some time since I saw that flick. If I remember, they crashed a bullet nose towards the end. There was also a cool 50s era service station that several scenes were shot at.

Any details on phot in 1235?
They're at an airport...there for a auto race or airshow?

Bob, I have seen this picture in seveal places over time but I have never seen an explanation of its location.
