Thanks - I enjoy looking for them. Occasionally, I will copy some photos that do not have a Studebaker (s) in them just because they look cool to me. The one below is an example. Depression WPA photographer on a street somewhere in small town Texas - the detail is what made me stop and look at this one for some time.

That's a cool roof rack on the Starliner.

    • Not to mention the unique pieces of history depicted. Who ever heard of Pearl Lager Beer?

Yeah, those old 50's cars were definitely built more to give a licking rather than take one. But to be honest, I don't see a single tie back for that brick veneer, not to mention what the rest of the wall is constructed of. Looks like some pretty questionably dangerous construction. A Yugo probably could have knocked that down. The fallen bricks don't even seem to have dented the hood. What are they made out of, paper mache?

          • From what I can see. I think I’d score the car as the winner😉

            • Can you imagine the automobile damage on a similar incident with today's vehicles?

A modern car would have been crumpled back to the rear bumper.

They might still be with us.

The photo was not captioned with anything - ID would be difficult considering the proliferation of cameras during the 1950s and the number of people being married.
