"In 1953, Frank Lloyd Wright designed this house for his son, Robert Llewellyn Wright (1903–86), who worked at the Justice Department in Washington, DC. Located in Bethesda, Maryland, the 1800 square-foot Usonian house was designed using intersecting and concentric segments of a circle, or "hemicycles." The house is still in good condition and remains in the Wright family to this day. • Re-post for the Christmas time - Taylor, Texas - holiday spirit in lights - 1954 would be the guess and Taylor looks like they had a great Mopar dealer.

        • Agreed. Late 1954 or any time in 55. 1955 Plymouth and Chevy on the right.

It's been a hardware store for many years and this corner entrance, until this year, was finally reopened as the main entrance. I go there quite often. I wish that Landcruiser was mine.

Yup, that's a Kaiser... and maybe another one, maroon, 3 cars to the left, almost out of frame...

I love how "old" the black car looks next to the others - might only be @20 years old in that photo. Would you notice a year 2000 car driving through a parking lot today?

It's a bad day when the Kaisers outnumber the Studebakers.

          • American Legion building, I believe in Austin, Texas - April 1953. Could call it "orphan's corner" by the cars parked there. Portals of Texas History.

The Top Of The Ocean burned about 20 years after this photo was taken!

            • There’s a campy oldblack and white comedy sitcom, “Mack and Meyer for hire”, During the opening and closing theme, these two ride down a city street.....and There ya go, a 1962 Lark TAXI!
