I got some pushback over my comments on that picture on FB when I suggested that the guy with the nice Pontiac convertible should roll his windows down. One FB poster thought it more important to be comfortable, even if it ruined the looks of the car.

I had a buddy that worked there in the 70's. I worked in the one on O'farrell. Not to mention O'farrell Theater where another buddy had his bachelor's gathering. LoL!

    • His windows are down, that’s the wife’s side 😉

Yup, she didn't want to mess up her 'do! Keepin' the Lady happy is much more important than makin' the car look good!!

How cool is that? Not one, but two 1954 Conestoga wagons in the same photograph.

    • I saw it several years ago, but I recently saw this photograph again hanging on a wall inside the Dairy Queen in Blue Ridge Georgia.

The caption under the photograph indicates the photograph was taken in Ft. Smith Arkansas.

"Santa Ana Freeway" is I-5; this intersection is actually in the independent City of Commerce.

Both the Studebaker & the Kaiser looks more modern & fast than even the newer Fords...

Wow, the tall one looks like my (much) better half. If her hair is auburn, that is.

Lower photo is an excellent illustration why Studebaker eventually failed. Look how pinched and uncomfortable it looks next to the Buick.
