No it's not a Studebaker, it's either a 1948 FX Holden or 1953 FJ Holden a utility version of the car in front of it. Cheers Harryhawk

That's what I thought. I didn't know what it was, but didn't think it was a Studebaker. The proportions aren't right even though the general shape suggests an R-series Studebaker truck.
Thanks, Harry.BP

They were sold here in North America, and have seen them around when Studebakers were still brand new.

I hope this pastes to this forum topic. Forwarded from a local Studebaker friend, Wayne Remaly of Owasco IN (yes, there is an Owasco IN!)
This is from an article about a parade that Disney used to run at Disney World.
The copy with the photo says:
Although the parade is presented by Chevrolet, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia from Star Wars ride in a bullet-nose 1950 Studebaker Champion Regal convertible. It’s okay that Studebaker was never a General Motors brand, because Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977) isn’t a Disney movie. The car is influenced by Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder in that movie. The three jet engines suggest that this might be a very fast Studebaker.

Monotone 1956 President Classic in front of Ft. Worth TX Cadillac dealer in 1957.
A monotone 1956 President Classic would be rare, but since the newest cars in this photo are 1957 models, chances are good the President was built that way.
Also note the Harley-Davidson Servicar, as I think they were known, being pulled by the 1957 Cadillac in the lot. Those Servicars were used by dealers to pick up and deliver cars for servicing high-zoot customers as would be typical of a Ft. Worth Cadillac dealership.
