This photo of a photo was from the May 24, 1996 National Dragster article about the Inaugural Muroc Dry Lake Reunion. I was there, but missed taking a photo of several cars, including this Avanti. As usual, writers rarely get the facts correct when dealing with Studebakers.

I only spotted one Studebaker pickup@ 2.37, Turning left from California ST. Lot's of the big three with a big plus being the Amphicar and the meter maid trike. Much cooler than the Cushmans.

Missoula's 1912 City Hall at Woody and Broadway. This is a colorized photo by Stan Healy taken about 1956 with Missoula city police officers out front along with their motorcycles and Studebaker patrol cars. This building was demolished in the 1960s when the new city hall and jail were built.

Strange to see, is that a brown (rust?) bumper corner on a police car..?

Dunno about those “tan” patches on the bumpers, but there seems to be something odd going on between the 2nd & 3rd cars. Officer in white shirt looks to have his right leg bent at the knee or otherwise obscured, and the officer in the jacket has his left leg obscured by the headlight of a non-existent car?

I don't think so, if you mean the one entering the intersection with the guy in the middle of the street blocking our view of the front of the cab. BP

I have studied that photo carefully and am not seeing the things you describe, Skyway. Maybe it's my old eyes.
