            • Bob; I have a check stub from 1947 of my fathers that worked for Sun Oil Co. in Toledo. It shows $24 with $.24 deducted for Social Security. In 58 I started working for a Signal Oil station in Sunland and got a whole $.85 an hr.

                Geeze, Alan; you're rich! I was working at a small Shell gas station in Paris IL for only $.75 per hour in 1961! (And the guy up and closed on me and ultimately stiffed me for about $16. A life lesson learned early, for sure.) BP

                              • #1126 is interesting. The travel trailers are all hooked to American cars, but the two cars passing on the street make me think the photo was taken in a foreign country.
