      • #1101 This is a picture of down town Colorado Springs around 1960. My wife worked 3 building south of the big building on the left. The Hotel in the back ground is the Antlers. This is where I started married life. Sept. 1960

                              Alan, that's really a little short...quite a bit, actually.

                              I researched the average 1950 factory wage for my column in the September 2012 Hemmings Classic Car. Several sources averaged right at about $77 per week in 1950. By 1952, it would have been a little more for factory workers, but even if you factor in lower-paying, non-factory jobs, it will still be considerably more than $24 a week! BP
