I just hope they weren't traded in for brand new Ramblers!!

    • I will have to admit that the 58 Chevy with its odd load is what caught my attention. My cousin had a Biscayne that color our first year in college.

      • Simca Aronde parked to the right, were they common then?

It seems to be a Montlhéry, with the large panels on the sides. Simca sold these in the USA as well as the earlier models, but the sales figures were modest.
          Happy weekend to all.

          • From the Sunday, June 7, 2020, Old Motor. I see at least two Studebakers, both parked in the front row of the lot facing the street; a light-colored '48-'49 third car from the right and a dark '50, 4th car from the left.

            Anyone else?

            • I got four, but the picture gets really fuzzy when enlarged.

Freeway construction, Los Angeles County CA ca. 1963; most likely I-605/San Gabriel Freeway. The state covernment plate says the Lark is a California Depatment of Highways (now Caltrans) car.

And that '61 appears to be a rare fleet Y1 body style.

                      • Just curious; does Y1 mean it's a -61 long wheelbase with the earlier rear window?

I think the Y1 was the Cruiser based body in the commercial category - was the longer wheel base but did not have all the cruiser fancy stuff and the vent windows in the rear doors were static.

                          • OK, & it looks like the 53-60 rear window too, so is it a -61?

                            • The 59-61 Y bodies were commercial cars; most were used as Taxi's. The clue that it is a 61 is on the left front fender of the photo showing the raised side trim that the 61 had.

Wow, a Colt Woodsman and a Skyway Land Cruiser to boot!
                                Is the shooter anyone famous?
