Packard, probably a 110 (6 cylinder) due to the stubby hood.

When Reagan was this young, it would have been in the 1930's.

            • Bob,
That is the Douglas border crossing heading North from Washington State to Vancouver, British Columbia as noted sometime in the early 60's.

Cool, Bill; thanks. That Lark Regal hardtop might be the newest car in the photo; 'can't tell if it is a '59 or '60, the photo is so blurry. BP

And the lineup is just as long back then as it is today!!

                    • As far as I know the 1960 VW's had bigger tail lights, at least here in Sweden, mun always drove those & 58-59 looked like that with small lights & the new big rear window.

I think 1962 was when VW's received the bigger taillights, but 1960 was the first year of pushbutton outside door handles.

I figured you Volkswagen enthusiasts would be "all over" that 'bug to help date the photo. Too bad it is so fuzzy, but that's the way it looks on the Hemmings Blog, too. BP

                          • I was wrong (this time about tail lights), happens all the time! The difference was the indicators coming on the front fenders in -60... & when I look now I can't see any.
