My Grandad's President, pictured within a year of when he bought it new in Western MD (looks like 57 license).
I wonder if that '56 President still survives. It reminds me of this one with 1956 Maryland year-of-manufacture plates on it which I saw in South Bend in 2002.

    • That's a beauty. GDad's was brown or bronze colored, I think.

This is what I thought I saw parked behind the Hawk in 10377, above.

Last car my Gdad owned. Don't know why the picture is so off centered. Nothing special about mountains and snow in CO.

Do you know the history of that '64? The car has a Challenger C-pillar emblem with Daytona belt line trim. Did he add the belt line trim?

Don't think anything was modified. I'll have to look for better pics of it sometime. This is the ad in TW Aug 1978, right before his death he wanted to take care of disposing of assets.

Camping in Colorado. I'll leave it to others to ID the car.

St Cloud, FL. Maybe a 56 Commander behind the Hawk
Unusual for there to be two 5/10/25 stores next to each other. It appears that the Hawk is either leaving or entering the last parking spot. If it is leaving, either the Dodge or the Plymouth will probably take the spot.

Soon after, he was advised to move to Colorado with us, due to health issues. My father went to MD to bring him and this car back to CO. Dad (pretty much a GM guy) wasn't thrilled about a trip across the country in a Stude, but after arriving he talked about what a wonderful car it was. Grandad never owned any car other than Studebakers, had (2) 64's when he died in 1978.
Just for the record, that Md plate is dated "EXP 3-31-57" so it was really a 1956 plate, having been issued in February or March 1956.

This is one picture where the Studebaker is not among the oldest, but is the newest (or second newest) of the seven brands that I see (can't tell what is behind the Lark). I know that you meant only station wagons with your "four".
