Studes in Roadside Americana photos

  • More Cadillacs than I have seen in a parking lot before. I haven't found a Studebaker yet, but my eyes were getting tired from looking. I see it is at Churchill Downs. Must be a lot of big spenders.

    • I found 2 Studebakers but there are many cars in that photo that I cannot see enough of to make a positive identification.

            I definitely see a '50 or '51 Starlight coupe, and what may be a '52 4 door sedan.

              And it appears they are segregated, too. All the Series 75 sedans/limousines from various years seem to be parked in one area in the lower left of the photo.

                    • 52-fan - I think you missed one. Look at the 3rd horizontal row on the right, next to last car just in from the border of the photo. It looks like the front of a 47, 48, or 49.

                              • I guess the photo of Monterey was before they started all the Classic car shows in mid August. I've never travelled to that part of California but I assume a lot has changed since that photo of canary row was taken.
