From Great Northern Archives; believe this is Skykomish, WA. This is where GN put on electrics to go thru the 8 mile Cascade tunnel (before diesels).

      • It's been some time since you, Bob, and I walked through the train tunnel. Have a Merry Christmas and best wishes for the new year.

Well, the description fits, but its not a picture of me.

Is it perhaps one of our Co-Operator Advisors?

              • My Father's first new car and first Studebaker. Not sure of the year and model, but it was 'basic" 6cyl, manual (OD?) radio delete. When I find a good picture of his second Studebaker I will post it. I believe it was a 56 Pelham wagon. I remember both 62 GT Hawk, and 62 Lark wagon.

Looks like a 1950 Champion Sedan. Very nice.

                  • Almost dead center in this photo's parking lot: Is that the tail end of a dark-colored 1962 or 1963 Lark sedan? I'm not entirely sure. BP

                    • Post #9864 - I see the car that you mean. On my screen, it looks like the rear end is too long (from the rear wheels to the rear of the car) to be a Lark.

                      • Rarely does a Studebaker get ten whole seconds in a video such as this, but a nice '55 is visible up front from roughly 0:45 to 0:56 at the beginning.

The rest of the video is kind of a nostalgic trip for the fellow who made it, if you care to watch it. But I didn't see any other Studes...not to say there aren't any, of course:

What! No mention of the Wagonaire at the front of the "line"?

Your monitor must be a lot larger/better than mine. Since it is, what is the rest of the sign that says "spring". The cars that I see range from 1955 to 1958. If there is a Wagonaire there it may not be part of the scrap line (employee's car, customer's car, etc.).

                              • The Rambler closest to the Scotsman looks like a 4-door. The wagon is also a Rambler. And I still can't read the 'Spring' sign.
