The Lark is like Rudolph, leading the lost men out of the plant. It must have been a solemn Christmas in South Bend that year.
I was 9 years old when the plant closed. To this day I remember the announcement on the CBS news that evening and although I had no great attachment to Studebaker at that time I recall feeling bad that this country had lost a long time car manufacturer. 9806 was taken looking in almost the same direction but on the other side of Bunker Hill in Down town L.A. From #9698 on page 243. Those parking lots were for lawyers and others that were going to the courts or the hall of records.
