No pics BUT, just received my September 2017 Hot Rod Magazine. On the "contents" page there is a top photo depicting 60 years of sidewinder dragsters. The sign on the dragster says Long Beach but I can't make out the full name but Joe is definitely the first name. Could Mondello be the last? However, look BEHIND the dragster and what do we see? A '54/'55 2 door wagon? Some with better eyes and computers may be able to tell.

I scanned the page and cropped out the other stuff. Maybe you can read it.Originally posted by Buzzard View PostNo pics BUT, just received my September 2017 Hot Rod Magazine. Sharp photo but very modern. Many giveaways...handicapped parking sign, Rubbermaid Brute trash can (with graffiti), sign stating that C.K. McClatchy is a closed campus, whitewall width...Originally posted by JRoberts View Post

Good catch. I knew the picture was sharper than most, but I didn't look close enough to notice those details. It is posed in a very natural way.Originally posted by kurtruk View PostSharp photo but very modern.
