My comment was really about the lame attempt to mimic the old style. The younger crowd, and maybe the photographer, just doesn't get it. More lewd than lovely. Just compare #8967 to #8968.

I like the mock period picture in #8967 well enough, but it is easy to tell its not "real":
-Customized front end on the '50 that does not look like something from the 50s.
-Obvious wider radial tires
-Leg tattoos on the girl sitting on the right
That said, they DID go the extra mile to make the picture yellowed looking! Something I've been working to UNDO on genuine vintage family photos, ha.

Any suggestions? And, as we know, often "mystery" is a result of the lack of an "educated" explanation. There must be some setting between the computer language of our systems that blocks the pic from transmitting. My provider is AT&T Uverse, and my browser is firefox. It could be that, if you are a registered member of the source you are copying the pictures from, it will allow only registered fellow members to open the pics.
Bottom line is, I'm ignorant of the reason, and assumed that because I couldn't see the pics, no one else could either. Apparently, that is not the case. So, if you are copying the pics from a forum that you are a member of, it would be useful to know if other "members" of the same site can see the pics and non-members can't.John Clary

I'm getting the red "X's" too, both in jroberts original posts and also in jclary's quote of the original post. I wonder if it is a Firefox (which I also use) problem? (Nope. Just tried it with MS Edge and I get the red "X's" there, too.)
