August 24, 1968: Off to work at Carl West Shell Service in NE Indianapolis toward the end of the summer, before returning to Purdue:
The Tahiti Coral 1959 Lark Regal hardtop was my daily driver at the time: Power Kit 259, Flightomatic, fully-reclining, individually-adjustable front seat.
It was a nice car. Even though it was nine years old, my left leg is not covering the traditional competition stripe at the rear of the RF fender!BP

Pic 8841--great pic, Bob! That may be my favorite '59 Lark color. Whatever happened to that car?
Pic 8842--With that funky truck and trailer, I'll guess that that's not South Bend. And strange to have a '62 and a '63 on the same truck.Bill Pressler

I will confess that I sold it privately late in 1968. I replaced it with my first full-time, non-Studebaker daily driver; my straight three-speed 1964 Rambler American 440 convertible in Sentry Blue [light] metallic with Sovereign Blue interior and white top and boot. That Rambler was the car in which I picked up Cari for our first date, a blind one with mutual friends who had fixed us up.
Agreed: Tahiti Coral is/was far and away my favorite 1959 Studebaker color.
Starting then [late 1968], I went through a period of several years with little interest in Studebakers due to their demise...but, thankfully, never discarded any of my literature or correspondence regarding same.
Like you, I found the top tier of cars in 8842 interesting. Some dealer must've got a real deal on a leftover 1962 languishing in Lot 151, to be delivered with one of his first 1963 models.BP
