            I believe this picture was taken after Avanti body production went into full swing at South Bend.....There were others taken at the same time, which are occasionally published

                • I toured the Avanti II plant 2-3 time while I lived in Niles. I will guess South Bend on the Avanti body production photo!

                              Looks like it started out as a C body, either a Power Hawk or a Flight Hawk? Looks like a Plymouth emblem on the trunk. Looks like an incredible amount of time, money and effort was spent only to distort any semblance of tasteful styling! I guess there's no accounting for the tastes of others, but maybe, sometimes, people just make mistakes? What does the article say about the engine in it, was it as radically altered as the rest of it?
