          • Hey Studedude Dave, that last picture is Norris Dam in East Tennessee.... I posted somewhere else about this picture, hope not here, but I was 10 when this was taken there at the dock, and knew the folks with the little blue Studebaker as it was sold at Bailey Motors (Studebaker Dealer) in Clinton where my dad worked. If I remember correctly, the blue Ford convertible was owned by one of our firemen.. This is about 9 miles from where I was raised, and when I got my license and grew stupider by the hour, we used the road from Clinton to the dam as a road course, ha ! Fun, fun, fun ! Pretty good fishing there too !

            • In #5579 the first picture is in Grifton, North Carolina located between Kinston and Greenville. The second one is in Greenville, NC near what was then East Carolina College, now East Carolina University.

                              • Helena Drag Strip. Pictured above are, left to right, Paul Contorno and Glen Houser with their 1953 Studebaker Commander in late 1963 at the Helena Drag Strip. The track, which started in the mid-1950s, operated until the mid-1960s and was one of the major tracks in the Southeast. The site is now occupied by subdivisions.
