Studes in Roadside Americana photos

Do any of the photos of cars on carriers going to dealers have dates? An intrepid member might be able to determine if their car could be pictured. That would be soooo cool (to me).

I was looking at older pictures in this thread, and #2080 on "page" 52 kinda baffled me, the numberplate especially.
I thought at first could either be from Ireland, Finland or Island, but then I came to think about Colombia, as I can tell is the only country that has 2 letters on top of eachother before the other letters...
The landscape looks pretty flat at first sight but then if you look over yonder I think the picture is taken high up on a hill or a mountain.
Any other ideas?

Could the tarpaulin-covered framework that is suspended over the truck be something that might be lowered and tied down to secure the load of coffee boxes after they are loaded? Tom

There appear to be a couple of dome lights on the under side, so maybe it's to cover the bed and make a "box" truck for other cargo....
