The unit in the truck is an ammonia compressor, which was used to refrigerate fruit storage warehouses in the valley until the early 60's when Freon began to take over. the woman in the door way is my grandmother.

      Dig the dual tires! Great shot of a hard working M-series. BTW the fruit industry has changed back to ammonia; as I Yakima firefighter I've had my share of ammonia responses!
