              Thanks for outlining this. I hadn't noticed it at first glance. It hurts, though. A Chrysler 300 A or B is one of my (many) unfulfilled dreams...

                  • No happy ending. The 1940 Deluxe Champion at right crashed into a dump truck hauling sand in 1947 in Milwaukee, Wisc. Mrs. Walter Hilgendorf of Grafton, Wisc was driving the Studebaker when the accident occurred. Her 5-year old daughter Judith was killed either by the impact or by being completely covered by sand.

                        • The Baldwin Hills Dam, failed 14 Dec, 1963. Due to vigorous efforts to evacuate homes below, the loss of life was contained to 5 people. Hundreds of homes were lost however.

                            1962-3 of the CFD fleet at Central Fire Station.
                            Fire rigs are a 1958 ALF 800 engine, 1938 Ahrens Fox reserve engine, 1949 Seagrave tillered 85' aerial, and a variety of support vehicles which seem to be a 1962 Dodge Dart chief's car in foreground, a Dodge pickup behind the rigs, along with an unknown panel truck.
                            The aforementioned car also seems to be parked in the same location, along with an unusual array of period autos.
