        • Could #4289 be a guy called "buddybaker" & the car be equipped with a 360 MoPar & -55 front?

          • So here I am, fiddling around in the postwar boat forum FiberGlassics and what do I find in the Tee-Nee Trailer section:

              • Studes in Roadside Americana Art:

After the gasoline stations closed down in the evening, you had to be first to go around to all the gasoline pumps and drain the hoses. Sometimes you could drain a gallon of gasoline. That would run a Cushman for a while. Some of the stations had hoses that were 10-15 feet long and three or four pumps.

The guy in the Studebaker beat him to it!

                      • This is pushing the topic of 'Roadside Americana' a bit, but it might be the craziest picture so far in this thread:

Its not all that ancient. The newer 'Sears' logo on the trailer is a giveaway.

What is the story on it? Aftermath of a multi-car pileup?

                          • True, the thread is really about vintage photos. I guess that's another way it doesn't quite fit. I'll start a different thread about the source called 'Abandoned Race Cars'.
