          • #4219: While we are all focusing on the pretty C-body Studebaker, I'm pretty sure that is a 1955 Packard Clipper 2-door hardtop, reddish and white, to the right of the blue 1957 Ford Fordor visible over the deck lid of the Studebaker. BP

            • Yeah you are correct, but that '55 Coupe sure is a standout with all those TALL Cars!

Isn't that '56 Oldsmobile two door sedan (dare I call it a 'post') kind of rare? The majority of '56 Oldsmobile two door models were no doubt hardtops.

AMEN to that, Rich...and that first-series black and white two-tone on a Regal model is especially attractive, isn't it? BP

                    You be the judge, Craig:

                    Total 1956 Oldsmobile 88 2-door sedans, 88 and Super 88 combined: 37,414

                    Total 1956 Oldsmobile Holiday 2-door hardtops, 88 and Super 88 combined: 117,793

Curiously, in the 88 Series, the Holiday 2-door hardtop outsold the regular 4-door sedan. But in the Super 88 series, the regular 4-door sedan outsold the Holiday 2-door hardtop! BP

                      Thanks, Bob.

I just knew the number would be substantially less than the hardtops; not to mention, 2 door sedans weren't available in the 98 series.

Yep, it was often the lure to get in. But that didn't mean you drove off the lot in one.

Well...it was the flashy expensive cars that got me into the showroom.

It was the price on the sticker that found me on the back lot...looking at the used cars they were to ashamed to admit they had...for one I could afford.
