That is the strangest picture! Like two different eras in the same pic. The Suburban is a '72 at the newest, but the other two vehicles are soooo much older. Neat pic though, thanks for posting!

Wow; we hit 157,141 Views on this long standing String! I see that the normal 2 line header could not handle that many digits and had to go to FOUR!Probably quite a while ago, but it does really show up & look different in the current string list.
Look what you started Bob! This could be costing us Hundreds!Last edited by StudeRich; 11-22-2014, 08:25 PM.StudeRich

Sign on the Champ's door reads, "Powered on the Road by Studebaker." The Champ is in good company with a T-Bird, Morgan and what I believe is a C Type Jaguar (I could be wrong on the last one).

#3399 really makes you wonder what this Guy's Gig is. He Hauls/Tows whichever Car or Cars are his "on the Road" with Studebaker Power? It appears that they may be listed on the door below the other Statement.
Looks like a brand New or close to it, '61 narrow box (P1) Champ pickup.
That poor Land Cruiser in #3398 has been hit on BOTH ends!
The Trucker must have knocked it into something else. Talk about Totaled! ...Ouch!StudeRich

This picture was in our newspaper's Arkansas Postcard Past yesterday. Of course, the 52 Studebaker caught my attention. The location is Mt. Gaylor near Winslow, Arkansas "Highest point in the Ozarks". Burns Gables restaurant was once a famous stop on U.S. 71 at the top of a very winding and steep stretch of highway. The south end of the building hung over the edge of the mountain for a view of the valley below. This area is now bypassed by the new multilane road. I thought it was interesting that all of the cars shown are close in age.
BTW My wife and I stopped at Burns Gables for a sandwich while on our honeymoon years ago."In the heart of Arkansas."
