I guess they put a heavier bumper on so the right front fender wouldn't get mangled again!

To point out how much times change, I like to notice the absence of commercial vehicles. One Falcon Ranchero and that's it!Originally posted by christophe View Post

Grifton, North Carolina is between Greenville and Kinston. Two active Studebaker folks lived in Grifton, or had their cars and parts stored there until their recent passing. Some of you old time SDC folks may remember Ted Banner and Leonard Cole.Originally posted by BobPalma View PostTwo Photos; two Studes (or is it the same one?) in today's Hemmings Blog:

Indianapolis World of Wheels, Circa 1974.
Indianapolis-area SDCer Phil Brandt's 1959 Silver Hawk receiving an award at The Indianapolis World of Wheels.

I had earlier posted that the car on the left was Phil's before he started working on it, but he has informed me that it was not.
Now we are trying to figure out whose it is/was. It does have California black plates with a Frost & French license plate frame.

#3340 "Lowey meets Christine?" Yes, I know its a 4 door.
Also, anybody know where the second last pic is from in #3337? Looks to be a movie with Santa and cops at the curb.
Was thinking Some Like It Hot, but that movie is black and white and I don't remember such a scene.

#3341 looks like a darn cold day. Something about the light and the steam/smoke from the building stacks tells me its probably January and 0F or worse.
Of course, today much of MN got whacked with a big snow. Heard on the radio about 16" to the NW of the "cities". Oddly, here in the Fargo metro area no snow for which I am grateful. My '53 got put out of the garage this weekend and is setting out with a ill fitting car cover whilst I work to get my winter beater fixed up for winter. Its about 20F out but fortunately dry so far.
