See also post #2465 in this thread for a different photo of the Nebraska car.

            • I have no idea what his vehicle is about . I found it on Kustomrama. No matter I am sure we all can see the Studebaker connection.

                • Does #3276 have a Model T rear leaf to match the Model T kiddie ride in the background?

                  • It's unusual for me to forget a story about a Studebaker project, but I took this photo decades ago and have honestly forgotten the details!

'Ran across it today while looking for something else in a dusty old box. BP

                    • Former lady friends from Paris IL "back in the day." The date on the side of the first photo is April 1959:

Photos discovered today while looking for something else. Names shall remain anonymous to protect the innocent (me).

Incidentally, the 1955 Champion Regal Coupe in the second photo is the one I am wrenching on in my avatar photo, before it was painted. Avatar photo is early 1963; photo in this post is fall, 1964. BP

Wow, does that bring back memories. I actually had a ride in that thing in Indianapolis back in the '60s, I think it was. Lots of '61 Hawk parts, as I recall. Unfortunately, I don't remember many details. Could it have belonged to Luther Barnes, Ted's long-time friend? The rumble seat was a rare option.

                        • Bob P., referencing your picture of the "rumble seat roadster", if the young fellow Chris has the Turtle, surely this is the long-lost Studebaker Rabbit with that blown engine !

Apparently not, George. Ted e-mailed this morning that he didn't recall Luther ever having such a beast.

And since you have now confirmed that it wasn't yours, we can rule out your having gotten carried away with weight removal one summer! BP
