Great post! There are a lot of rather high dollar automobiles driving through all of that water. Maybe the Crosley will simply float across the flood waters.

Can anybody figure out what is going on in #2725? 'Seems like the Policeman is writing something up, but what? Doesn't seem to be evidence of a collision or ??? BP

I wish I knew what the pic was all about, but I don't. I did notice the highway signs. This looks to be a point where U.S. 1 and maybe U.S. 301 cross the James River. As one might expect far different than today. A couple of cars behind the policeman is a Caddy with a rear door open. I wonder if the guy in the white shirt was being driven some place. He seems to be explaining something to the officer, but naturally this is only a guess.

I thought maybe the car with a spot light and the rear door open in #2725 was the cop car until I identified it as a 1941 Pontiac.

I also identified it as a '41 Pontiac, but what cop would drive a Cadillac?

Cops usually drove Ford's back then, but I also know they drove Olds' and Pontiac's.

That guy is a service station attendant going over a work order with a customer.
