Don't know what the other two are but they've obviously been placed there and tamped down like rip-rap to prevent wave action from eroding a levee. A usual practice at a different time.

It might be. The "L" on the door of one and the radiator of the other look similar.

      • Re: 2550; there is a photo of I think the same location on the wall at the athletic club I belong to. The owner likes to enlarge and post photos of himself fly fishing, there is one picture with these cars in the backgrouond. I think it's in Montana but I will double check, and also see if these are the same cars. Apparently they were used to prevent bank erosion, pre-EPA .

Vroman's is the book store I was referring to, it's 6 blocks west...and still in business.

              • Hey, quick question...how do you guys post pictures DIRECTLY into your response, as opposed to a icon or a link? I work on a computer all day long, and I can't figure it out!!

If someone could PM me, I would appreciate it.

Ensure the link of the image you wish to post from your photo hosting site is immediately preceded by . There should be no spaces or characters between "" at the end.

                        • 2561 My dad bought 37 Plymouth new. I was born in the back set in 1940. They didn't make it in time. My dad died in 43 and mom drove the Plymouth until 1951 and bought a new Pontiac 2 door slope back.

With Fina and B-A service stations, this another Canadian picture. If you could PM a more clear picture of the license plate on the Plymouth at left, I could probably identify the province.
