Boy, the property in 2419 sure looks forlorn, Joe.Part of the signage intentionally removed from the building, etc.
At least they still have one rack of oil outside, so I guess they are open for business a little while longer.BP.

Coachcraft for many years was located on Robertson Blvd, just east of Beverly Hills. Besides custom body work, they specialized in roof racks for 'woody' station wagons & Chrysler Town & Country sedans.
I used to drop by every now and then to see what they were working on.
btw: This car has disappeared, no one seems to know what happened to it. Like the "Topper" Buick (a Bowman & Schwartz creation made for the 1937 film), it's dropped from sight.Last edited by WinM1895; 01-13-2014, 09:51 AM.

#2416 there is a sign on the side of the station that says Vermont Truck Stop, #2419 there is a sign next to the station "Information Lake Champlain Ferries". I believe both of these photos was taken by Don Weidemeyer longtime photographer for the VT Highway Department. The white numbers on the photos are one of his trademarks. He recently passed away at the age of 96.
I believe the location for #2419 may be along US 2 in South Burlington, VT and was taken in advance of the construction of Interstate I-89 through this area, thus the reason for the closure of the gas station. It was going to be torn down.Dan Peterson
