Portland (Oregon) Die and Stamping is still going strong, but in a newer, bigger location. The old 1883 Spaulding building, the whole block in fact, went down in 1967-8

I don't know. Are you absolutely sure those are not models of real cars and trucks?

            • I found this on the H.A.M.B. with the following explanation:
"Going through some old photographs the other day I ran across this picture I took of my Uncle Vernon in 1960 with his '51 Studebaker. It's not very pretty, and the gas station sign on the door doesn't help, but it was really fast for its time. It held the E stock strip record at the local drag strip and sometimes he would run it in D stock just for the hell of it and usually won that, too. Notice the 4 trophies lined up on the hood in the picture. This is the car I learned to drag race in when I was about 15."

              • Linen postcard. Guntersville, Al. That's a Studebaker dealer in the white building. A 2r truck under the Pure Oil sign, and a red postwar Stude at the curb.

Bob, that photo is outside the Hamilton Assembly plant.

That might be some type of marshalling yard for Ontario-assembled cars being sent to the United States, which could include other makes such as the 1964 Mercurys.
