          • I think most of us knew this but....

....it was nice to see it in print. This was from Charleston, SC's Post and Courier.

            • Thanks for the article in #2109, Joe.

Oh, for the days when the newspaper could report the make of car...

              Today, the report would read:

...Mundy took a sizeable slice of the prize money in a primarily red generic car having 27 graphics. Marshall Teague of Daytona Beach was second in a primarily blue generic car having 23 graphics, and Buck Baker of Charlotte was third in a primarily yellow generic car sporting a record-number 28 graphics....

Well, Bob back in the "good old days" you actually tell what brand each car was. In today's NASCAR all the cars no matter what make look exactly the same, so reporters may not be able to tell what kind of cars they are......

No, not 100% sure. But I was judging from the terrain and the sign. Anyone else want to venture a guess? Tallerbeste!

                  • Well Ed, I just thought about one thing: Dutch plates were dark blue & the Studebaker's plate sure looks black to me.
But it could be from Finland or maby Poland or some other east European country.
But you're right about the background: it sure looks a bit Dutch, even thou there's a lot of flat places in the world, even in smaller areas.
