It didn't get that bad until the late 50's. They had slab sided incinerators in every back yard. No trash collection. You burned your own trash. AQMD put an end to those by 1960.

Although, it seems to have the upgraded two tone steering wheel. This one may still be around- it seems the Plain Janes go on and on!Originally posted by BobPalma View PostMan, that is one cheap '61 Lark, Joe. I was wondering about that. Without that stainless windshield surround it looks almost undressed. I like plain cars, but this one just about goes too far.Originally posted by BobPalma View PostMan, that is one cheap '61 Lark, Joe. The '61 Lark Deluxe is really not that bare actually. It just did not get the optional Windshield and Rear Glass Stainless Mouldings ordered like most dealers did, or the Dual Headlights.Originally posted by ST2DE5 View PostI was wondering about this 61. It doesn't have the mismatched chrome on the side.
If you look really hard at the Pic it does have the above the bodyline mouldings that always looked odd. You can see it on the doors and the front side of the fender, there is too much reflection to see the side of the front fender.StudeRich
