It looks like I might make it. My wife is going to a nursing home she is awake but not walking. The gas doesn't bother me to bad. But I need to get away and need some parts to finish the wagon. The kids can take over. If you see a old man wearing a black cap with "56 Studebaker" on it that's probably me.

Sorry to hear about your wife, Carl. Nice to hear, at least, that your children share your interest with the car. Sometimes it seems too often to go the other way. All the best to you and yours.

As usual, barring any emergencies that arise next week, I'll probably be there, but it may be on a smaller budget than in years past. It's not the fuel(LOL, at 4.19 a gallon, heck, we like gassing up as far away from metropolitan Chicago as possible in these instances), it's everything else that will make this trek a little more difficult, considering what had happened since last year. So in short we should be there if God is willing and da creek don't rise. We are also in the same situation where if we can get away for a few days, it's more than a welcome relief. I also need some parts for the Lark and the '55.1964 Studebaker Commander R2 clone
1963 Studebaker Daytona Hardtop with no engine or transmission
1950 Studebaker 2R5 w/170 six cylinder and 3spd OD
1955 Studebaker Commander Hardtop w/289 and 3spd OD and Megasquirt port fuel injection(among other things)
