I have contacted the seller several times about posting photos of the inscription, and every time he blows me off with "next time I list it". This guy is a scumbag.

I suggest that we circle Conestoga wagons around this guy's house and force him to listen to 'Yoko Ono's Greatest Hits' until he cracks! Yep, I'm all for cruel and unusual punishment!

Well, I tried to order a dozen from him, but he insisted that this is the only one he has. Too bad, would have been interesting to see how much he wanted for a dozen 1 of 1'sJim

I keep coming back to this because it really irritates me. So because somebody is (oh woe is me) retired- or handicapped, or unemployed, or a single mother, or anything else- that gives them a right to lie and steal?Originally posted by stupak View PostI contated the seller several months ago and he replied something like 'give me a break - I'm a retired guy trying to make some extra money - I have this engraving machine and I want to put it to use - etc, etc, etc'.
Retired or not, he needs to be smacked- and arrested.Proud NON-CASO

Isn't it amazing how many fail to do "the right thing"--when everybody knows what "the right thing" is? I could never do anything like this guy is trying to do. What a stupid sleazebag! Sure, worse things happen, but geez!Originally posted by Bob Andrews View PostI keep coming back to this because it really irritates me. I emailed the seller and told her that the item wasn't genuine and if it wasn't removed I would notify eBay about it. I got this response:
sir, i respect that and i would tell you this fact, my father bought studebakers until they were they went out of business, he had champions and commanders and my first car was a lark he gave to me. i don't know who you are and why you are so adiment on this item...but i will take it down in respect for my father and not you.
happy thanksging to you and yours,
jennifer
Then shortly afterward I got this:
sir, i can't take it down because there arew bids on it, but you can be sure you will never see it again. that is only one i have.
jennifer
Is it true you can't remove a listing once it has been bid on?

NOT true. A seller can remove a listing at any time. Yet another lie. I'm sure her father would be proud.Originally posted by raoul5788 View PostI emailed the seller and told her that the item wasn't genuine and if it wasn't removed I would notify eBay about it. I got this response:

Well I did report it to eBay yesterday, but it's still up. They don't give you much opportunity to explain why you think the listing should be removed.Chip

Very true. As a son of a former postal employee, I should've caught that too!Originally posted by stevo5671 View PostNot that I think anyone on here thinks that thing is real, but in 1961 it would also have been engraved South Bend, Ind. not South Bend, IN.Bill Pressler
