What I find strange is this piece has been listed a number of times. Is this the first time it has a bid? Steve

I'd give 25 bucks for it, real or not. Let's see if bidding gets ridiculous.

He has sold a few of these. A friend of mine bought one thinking it was a genuine one of a kind! Mr Loewy must have been presented a LOT of key rings!

Forget the story, it is a nice looking key fob. Worth $19.99.

Yeah sure! As flamboyant as Lowey was...I am sure someone was going to hold a big event and present him with a teeny-weeny key chain!

Now if there were a set of keys to that year's newest optioned out Hawk attached?...that could be a possibility. However, such an event should be well documented.

Now if he had a keychain with the inscription "To Bob Bourke, thanks for designing the beautifull 53 Studebaker that will be forever known as the Loewy Coupe, Raymond", I might believe it.

                      Made me LOL!

This sure looks like a blatant lie. Looking at his feedback, apparently he's been getting away with it. He's got several neutrals and negatives- one buyer said the item was a
'piece of grap'. Not sure what that is but it can't be good...

That thing is really pretty silly.
Raymond Loewy's relationship with Studebaker was cold and/or non-existant by 1961.
Circa 1961, there would have been no reason for such an object to have been created for, or presented to, Mr. Loewy.

How about the guy who paid $102 and says it's a fake? Someone needs to contact Ebay and tell them. I'd do it, but last time, I waited 35 minutes on hold. I have more important things to do.

I contated the seller several months ago and he replied something like 'give me a break - I'm a retired guy trying to make some extra money - I have this engraving machine and I want to put it to use - etc, etc, etc'. I contacted/reported this item and several others he 'produces' to eBay as blantant fakes. They apparently don't care because they keep appearing. Let the buyer beware. stupak

That's true, but what about the fact that the LOGO was not created until 1963!!!!!!
