Blown head gasket. Good thing it's a GMC 4.3 V6. Parts were cheep and easy to find. It will be running tomorrow and I can call it my Little Champ again instead of my Turdebaker.

I never named my '52 Commander, probably because I never got it running.
I called my '49 Champion "My Fat Girlfriend", as in "I'm gonna take my fat girlfriend for a drive".
Haven't named the '66 Wagonaire yet - it seems more masculine, rather than feminine to me.

please post your car's year and model (and make if it's not a stude), its name, and how you came up with the name. post a picture with it, too, if you can.

here's mine: 51 champion 2 door sedan. unnamed as of now. thinking of going with red velour bench seats in the front and back, then getting black interior panels with a red accent for the "black widow" feel (i do own two black widows currently, and i've always wanted my hair to be colored black with red tips... just kinda makes sense to me).

You guys have seen some of the pictures... it is a green color now and when my father-in-law and mother-in-law were dating, they used to call it the "Green Hornet". I thought that was the original color... it turns out it was a deep blue, much like the 38 in my thread. Since I found that out I was a little disappointed as even though I didn't like that green, it was growing on me. Now, I have decided to go with another paint scheme all together... a silver grey exterior or hunter green. I haven't decided on the interior yet.

It will always be called the "Green Hornet" though...

My car is named Ugly Betty for the time being. She is the little sister of Sweaty Betty. Sweaty Betty belongs to a high ranking officer in the NCSDC and he used to own Ugly Betty. After some cosmetic improvements, I will probably change her name.

                              '58 Commander is "Christine".
Daily driver F150 is "Ole Tom", a name my sister gave the truck based on the previous owner.
