need a little more Hawk Help (5 pics)

OK...I think we have the paint scheme for the engine down now thanks to StudeRich and jbwhttail. Thanks guys! Mother Nature has added a little pollen to everything!!

Now how the heck to plumb the optional oil filter? I've given it my best shot, but wanted some expert help! Also I think I remember reading something about a restriction fitting in Turning Wheels, but can't seem to find that issue in the reading room.[V]

Filter mounted to head and plumbed to the filler tube...is this right?

We made a little progress today, but didn't get to starting it yet...we got the top generator bracket replaced with one of the right color...the one we had cracked! Cleaned up and and used satin clear on the throttle linkages, and used satin black on the 710 cap and spark plug wire tube! Rose then attempted to tackled replacing the fuel line from the tank up to the fuel pump. She only needed a little help here and there. Not quite done, but it's close!

We are still looking for the proper routing of the oil filter lines, and also the battery ground cable. Where does the braided cable attach to the block?

Your routing and avoiding hot areas problem is caused by using those rubber (neoprene) hoses! The Fuel line to Carb. and the Oil Pres. line should be rigid steel. [:0]

OK...rigid steel...I can do that...we've got a bender! Where should the pressure line be routed? Does anyone have a picture?

Ground strap should go under the motor mount, between it and the frame.

Ground strap...Yikes.[:0] I had totally forgotten about that...I was thinking about the negative battery cable. Does the ground strap go on the driver or passenger side? And then where does the neg battery cable go?
