Everybody,

With your permission, I'd like to use some of these photos on the home page (in a rotating spot) of the Texas Hill Country Chapter ( http://www.hillcountrysdc.com ) web site. I'll try to do this so a user can click on the photo to get another, perhaps larger view of the photo, along with a caption and credit to the owner/photographer (whichever one I know of). Anyone else who has artistic shots of parts of a Studebaker, feel free to post them here in this topic that Matthew began (if you own the car or the photo, that is).

I don't know if these two count as "artistic", but they're the closest I've got right now:

- The hood ornament on a '55 six-powered Stude truck:



- My resto-modified instrument cluster. Note to satisfy purists: the original gauge panel has a cross checked pattern beneath the opening in each gauge area. I opted instead to create "icons" for the gauges, similar to those found in modern cars, but that look like they could have belonged in the 'fifties era (if they had used icons back then). The ammeter was replaced with an aftermarket (and highly reworked) voltmeter.

Here's a few I took at the recent SE Regional Show/Meet in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, hosted by the Palmetto Chapter on March 10-11. They include what has GOT to be the most-photographed Stude on the planet, that now-familiar yellow Club Coup!













Probably the best self-portrait I've ever made, thanks to DeepNHock's "Mello Yellow", lol!
