I was at an antique truck gathering several years ago at which there was a produce truck that looked like this. The bed had a top with roll up canvas sides, as I recall.

There was a gentleman at Hershey this past fall with a Packard truck. I spoke to him a little bit and he said they made truck rated from 1.5 to 6 tons and if you took all the trucks still out there it would still be only around 25 or so. I tried to get a picture of the truck but it was so crowded with people all you would have seen was the top of the cab.

A Texas SDC member I know had a Packard truck (from the 20s I think) that was just a frame - not sure where the rest was...

I have seen three different Packard trucks. One is owned by a local member of the ATHS, and the other two in the Hayes Truck Museum. One of them (1910)in the museum is the oldest known Packard truck.

This might be a good trivia question...

How many average Americans (back when this truck was new) would it have taken to reach this vehicles weight capacity? (3 tons)

I believe someone here on the forum mentioned that Packard never made this truck and that it was probably used by Packard as a factory transport vehicle or something to that regard. I know nothing about this truck other than it resides in the Vancouver area.

I believe that the green wrecker belongs to Mr. Hamlin.

I saw an 'ElPackardo' at York last year.Hope to see it again this year!!

Okay, so now somebody can Photoshop a Packard Hawk with a pickup bed.
