Talk about an understanding wife... when we were first married, my wife bought for me a billboard of a 78 Silver Anniversary Corvette. It was from an ad in one of my car magazines and she got it for me for Valentines Day of all things. We happened to live in an apartment at the time and the wall behind the sofa was quite long. She let me put the Corvette on the wall behind the sofa. The tires ended up on each end of the 9 foot sofa. It was HUGE. People would come over and be flabbergasted. They were even more shocked to find out that it was my wife's idea.
Yeah, I kept her.... the wife, not the Vette.

I do hope to make some of the summer meets this year if my 51 Champion ever gets back from the paint guy. going on 3 years. I'd be madder if I had a place to put it. and yes it was me that bought both the billboards - what on earth was I thinking!

You were probably thinking, "I like 'em, I have the money, I'm willing to pay the seller's price, so I'm buying 'em"... Not a thing wrong with that[^]

Was there a web address with the article for the '53 billboard you mentioned above?
Here's the site..and their Studebaker page. It's fun to look at all the cars.

A friend of mine had one of these on the wall of his shop which had been a Ford dealership many years ago.

This particular 1964 billboard was reproduced a "few" years ago. I don't know how to tell an NOS one from the repro, if there is a way. I remember when the NOS ones sold for $9.95.

I hooked Bondo up with Dan for some neat memorabilia. He had a bunch of rare stuff. I tried to talk Bondo into a new set of five books on how to sell Studebaker from 1927, but Dan wanted too much.

$9.95 was after the price increase.
