I was going through some Turning Wheels back issues and was reviewing the article on Page 22 on the May, 2019 issue regarding '64 Hawks. In it is shown the location of the oval Avanti Powered emblems as being BELOW the air vent doors. Forward to the great article on Richard Paul from November 2019 and on pages: 35,36,38 and 39 are clearly visible photos of those same emblems ABOVE the air vent doors. My reason for clarity of this is that way back in the early 70's I built my first (and only) R4 clone GT Hawk and I thought, errantly I had placed the R4 oval emblems above the vent doors as is evident on Richard's GT. I must have seen a picture somewhere to determine that location instead of the more popular location below the doors.
Once again I can't post pictures here as they are too large. So you'll have to use your imagination.
